Process Journal-Entry 1

February 22nd 2010

Today, I was quite disappointed that I couldn't actually get a start on my product since I had to start on this process journal so I wasn't really able to accomplish anything but this first entry, the Introduction and the outline for my plan shown in the blog post below. Another problem that I had faced was that I wasn't able to start on the start date I had specified because of the Middle School Festival in Cairo causing my whole create stage to be shifted for a week or so also causing deadlines not to be met. To resolve this problem, I will have to do extra work and try to finish tasks in less than the duration I specified, this will help me get to the deadlines more easily but would require a lot of hard work. I will also be required to make a few adjustments to my start dates and end dates to adjust how long it's taking me to get my work done.

Here is a screenshot of my progress while doing this journal entry:

IT Create Process Journal

  • Introduction:

After completing the first 3 stages of my design cycle and have investigated, designed and planned my final product, I am ready to take my first class ticket to the long, hard working flight to success. I will reflect on my progress in a series of process journal entries slightly similar to a daily diary. In these entries I will discuss in detail what I had accomplished or what I actually did in that day explaining the challenges or difficulties I had faced and the fixes or the solution I came up with to resolves those problems. Proof of my work is also required providing that I have to come up with some kind of evidence for my work/progress. This could be in the form of audio, video, pictures, hyper-cam videos or even screen shots. After that, I will ass the date in which this work was done to end the entry.
  • Outline of my Plan:

I will need a plan to accomplish the success of this project. This plan along with the other 2 design cycle stages are located at this link:

Now, to make things a bit simpler, here is an outline to my plan showing a brief table of the tasks that are needed to be done and approximately how much time each one will take:
